Your Cheating Heart Will Tell on You
People could be forgiven for thinking that I am opposed to the management committee, but the fact remains that I am not working in opposition to the management committee. I am, in fact, favourable to their suggested proposal of building a temple in Murwillumbah according to the wishes of our beloved Srila Gurudeva.
Everybody on the management committee is a valuable asset to our community, however, a criminal mistake of enormous proportions has been perpetrated and perpetuated; a mistake which jeopardises a major percentage our collective efforts and relegates return on communal spiritual investment to the wastebasket, deemed to be of worthless value by stifling much potential local endeavour to please Srila Gurudeva.
It's a well known "public secret" that the Garden Ashram are the opposing team to to the management committee, "town" team. One general meeting of the GGGM was purposely held on a Saturday afternoon for the express purpose of making it difficult for GA members to attend that meeting due to a time clash with the GA worship program routinely scheduled for the same time as the meeting. Lilasuka prabhu was the only devotee from the GA who attended that meeting; he brought with him a handful of proxy votes that expressed the votes of other GA members of the GGGM.
Meanwhile, simultaneous, systematic gathering of proxies by the town team, wherein, devoees were encouraged to vote in favour of giving power to the town team, had been conducted resulting in a landslide victory to the town team.
A similar proxy campaign was conducted prior to the last major meeting of the GGGM.
Let it be noted that it is clear to me that those devotees who voted by proxy may well have actually wished to vote the way they did vote without the political machinations that were employed to harvest their votes.
Problems Ensue
The problem with this political vote and favour harvesting, and indeed the party spirit of town vs Garden Ashram, is that it renders it unclear as to what may have been the original intent of those devotees whose proxy votes secured a landslide victory on behalf of the town party. Especially when we consider that the whole political campaigning endeavour of telephoning around to secure proxy votes was conducted with the express intention of securing a victory on behalf of the town party and effectively silencing the GA group of devotees leading to the nullification of any opposing intentions they may have had.
Given that GGGM meetings, both general and AGM can be a pain in the proverbial, it would not be difficult to encourage devotees to accept a favourable stance via proxy in lieu of having to travel to and endure proceedings at a GGGM meeting. Especially since one cannot be roped into any "service" if one is not in attendance at said meeting.
A Priori
The fact that this was all done, in both cases prior to the meetings, signifies that the members of the management committee had every intention of, and not only sanctioned but encouraged the ignoring of any opinions held by GGGM members from the Garden Ashram, an act which deprived the GA group of equal voting rights within the community of GGGM devotees (regardless of what may have been the outcome without such interference).
This kind of activity is rife within the political world of parliamentary representatives, state representatives, and even local councils, as well as within corporate organisations, to secure support for favoured projects. It is the modus operandi rather than merely common within these material world circles.
The fact that it happened within an organisatrion of Gaudiya Matha devotees is reprehensible. The fact that it was conducted unfairly by only one party renders it even more reprehensible.
I Don't Oppose Any Person
It is this political division of devotees into groupings according to opinion, intent, desire, and free choice that I oppose. It is the minimising of the spiritual rights of minority group(s) that is what I both oppose and deplore. Political tactics deployed to secure power is cheating. Such actions disconnect us from the sources of real power, ie Sri Krsna and Srila Gurudeva rendering all of our subsequent communal efforts as tantamount to useless.
Let me remind you that although you may be inclined to minimise the gravity of this message, I caution you to consider that you would do so only if you had been spiritually desensitized by prolonged exposure to the world of maya. You cannot cheat each other and expect Srila Gurudeva to go along with it.
This kind of clandestine activity is the reason that, after 11 years we still have no temple. This abominable avaisnava mayic activity has got to be curtailed immediately so that the GGGM vaisnava community within the Tweed Valley can build a vaisnava temple that embodies Srila Gurudeva's sanction and assistance, so we can get on with the task of serving Srila Gurudeva and going back to Godhead instead of remaining in this cesspool of fear, deceit and exploitation. If you sanction this covert cooperation with maya devi, or enjoin with it in any way, then you are a party to cheating both yourself and your spiritual siblings.
Ignore this warning at your own peril.

NB: a bit of nonsensical trivia.
Your Cheating Heart Will Tell on You is the catch line from the song entitled Your Cheating Heart by Hank Williams, an old time cowboy, country and western music artist. You possibly wouldn't remember Hank Williams although you may have heard of him. However, I'll assume that you've heard of one of his greatest fans, a fellow by the name of Neil Young. Neil owns and plays an acoustic guitar previously owned and played by Hank Williams, in fact, Neil likes to play Hank Williams numbers and Hank Williams style songs on said guitar. 'Nuff said. Y'all git back to bhakti now. Hear?
